Morning Habits For a Great Day

What you do first thing in the morning sets the tone for your entire day.  Here are some helpful tips to start everyday on the right foot.   

 

Let There Be Light

If you're a sucker for the snooze button, try opening the blinds and letting in morning sunshine immediately upon waking.  

 

 

 

Set Your Daily Intention

Before you jump out of bed and race to get ready, take a moment to set a goal for the day.  Having a purpose before stepping foot into the office will make you more productive and focused. 

 

Get Up and Move

Exercise – even if it’s just 5 minutes of movement – is a great way to energize the mind and body in the morning.  You don't need a gym or any fancy equipment. Bodyweight movements, like squats, push-ups and jumping jacks can be done anywhere.  

 

Meditate

Meditation takes practice, but setting aside just ten minutes in the morning will help you tackle the stress of everyday life with clarity.  If you're new to meditation, we highly recommend this app.  Cheers to inner peace! 

 

Eat a Nourishing Breakfast

A healthy, balanced breakfast of protein, fat and carbohydrates will jumpstart your metabolism and give you the energy to tackle the day.  If you're short on time in the morning, prep your breakfast the night before so you can simply grab it as you go.  Hard boiled eggs, nutrition bars, and green smoothies are great options.
